C'Birders:
After hanging up the phone call from Taylor Piephoff during which I said I
hadn't seen Toast, the Cinnamon Teal since Sunday I went down the street to
meet 2 birders at McCormick's. The first thing I see is the Cinnamon Teal,
naughty Toast, sneaking, er, paddling away from the near side of the lake in
Mr. Tea's backyard.
Talk about playing hard to get......I have never been so darn diligent
trying to keep track of 2 birds.
The Male Black-chinned HB showed up for the birders and the Teal stayed on
the far side of the lake but they got good looks at it too. I have seen the
other HB at my feeder once today. Tomorrow, hopefully, we'll verify what it
is.
So, Tea and Toast are still here.
'Bye for now.
