Tea and Toast and X :



C'Birders:

Medcalf Lake's Snowbirds Hanging in Here:

Milder weather and I kept my promise to myself to paddle my strip boat
around the lake on Sat.  And found Toast, the Cinnamon Teal's hidey-cove.
Only about a hundred yards and a few bends further up the lake.  It is
accessible from our street as there is a cleared lot next to the cove.  And
you might well ask why I haven't used that approach before and I will tell
you that there are some really good watch dogs in our neighborhood, and I
learned a lot of years ago not to go up that street very far.

Today he was down by the dam on the opposite side of the lake from the
McCormick's, the wintering home of the Black-Chinned HB, who is still
showing off for the visitors.

And X is around here, awaiting perhaps, Susan's next visit.  We put up a
heat lamp which as far as I can tell it completely ignored.  X  just doesn't
like changes.
