Dear all,
I really am on cloud nine right now. Spent a wonderful two hours at Mrs.
Gibbs house in N. Augusta this morning, enjoying a show at feeders outside
her kitchen window. Nectar feeders that is. Not 2 minutes after I arrived
when the Selasphorus flew up to the feeder. And to top it off while
watching it from her kitchen window, it was perched in a bush right below
the window, another zipping bird across the driveway around her small
pond/waterfall, caught my eye. Yes, there were 2 of them, which she shares
in my excitement. She had thought the other one had left.
Then I got home and checked my email and Sonie Duhn has sent me an email
that she has one also. I called her and she has had one since before
Christmas and yes it's still there. This is in Martinez, (part of Augusta).
So if my additions are correct that is 5 hummingbirds in our area now, that
we know. Hopefully I will get to go visit the ones in Augusta the end of
this week also. But I do plan on revisiting Mrs Gibbs this afternoon.
Hey, Life is Grand
and I am blessed
Good Birding
Cathy Green
