Interesting comments! I have noticed that this year my thistle feeder goes
down very slowly. I even enlarged the holes in the plastic tube feeder to
see if making it easier would help Goldfinches. They definitely spend more
time on the sunflower feeder. I have no theory worth mentioning. Always
before both here and in CT I had to ration the thistle seed in order to
remain solvent.
