I work at Wild Dunes on the Isle of Palms outside of Charleston S.C. I
also live on the south end of the island. Yesterday this very strange
bird with a red to pink beak, and red and green feathers , all over, sat
on my car mirror and jumped around a bit then flew off and then came
back and hung out some more. Today, I parked in the same place (in front
of an ocean front condo) and he came back again and perched on the front
t window wipers and then the side mirror again, He is really bright red
and green but not in sections they (the colors) seem to flow together.
His beak is more like a parrot than anything else. He is bigger than a
cardinal but smaller than a crackle.
Can anybody tell me what he may be or she or whatever/
Thank you
