HI . . .
After a photo essay a few weeks ago about crustose lichens at Hilton
Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History, we figured we better also
recognize another form--the foliose lichens.
To learn more about these amazing symbionts, go to the Hilton Pond
website at http://www.hiltonpond.org , and click on "This Week at
Hilton Pond" for the week of 8-14 February 2001.
Also included are the weekly bird banding totals and info about
recaptures of note--plus photos of a Rufous Hummingbird banded last
weekend at Casar, North Carolina.
