Cape May Warbler at feeder!

Hello All-

Another very interesting bird showed up in Johnston County at Howell Woods
Environmental Learning Center this week:

> Yes, another unusually bird sighting from Howell Woods. This time it is a
> Cape May Warbler. I saw it on Feb 28 around 1245 while scanning the
feeders
> at work. It was eating at the suet basket attached to a pine tree. I
knew
> when I saw the bird that it was not a pine warbler or a yellow-rumped,
then
> when several pine and yellow-rumped warblers tried to get to the suet the
new
> bird fiercely chased them off. I consulted the field guide and then knew
> that it was a Cape May. It was an easy ID with the different looks it
gave
> me. Melissa Miller showed up for work a few minutes later and was also
able
> to make a good ID on the bird. We watched for several more minutes as the
> Cape May defended its new food source against all other birds trying to
get
> near the suet. We put up one mist net at the feeder and in the process
caught
> 12 birds before we finally caught the Cape May. It was a SY male.
