My iPhone started losing its mind.
First it ignored the “slide to unlock” slide. No motion would make it go. I found a workaround: make the slide motion anywho and then press the on button.
But eventually, Safari began to crash at odd times. The other apps would crash. Things were getting worse. Even sliding between photos would cause the app to abort and I’d be thrown back to the home screen.
A reset seems to have fixed it all. Just hold down the on/off button at the top right of the iPhone at the same time you hold down the home button at the bottom center for about three seconds. Eventually you see the Apple logo and then shortly after you are rebooted and reset. For me the problems were all cleared up.
I had this exact same issue and it was nice to see you have a quick workaround. Hopefully APPLE will fix this with a patch soon.
Glad I could help.Sadly this seems to be necessary every couple of days. Looking for a software update!
I did this to after my iPhone froze. But I am still experiencing major browser crashes when surfing on wifi. I hope the updates come from apple soon…
Thanks for posting this message Paul! I have been going crazy for the last hour with the same problem. Rebooting seems to have worked.
Thank you so much!!!
Hey!! Thanks for the info. man! My iPhone got a little buggy when I let the battery die all the way… I was playing some music and then the screen just went black but stayed on! AHHH! Nothing worked except for this reboot. Thanks again!
hi,
I have the same problem rebooting and program crashes, no matter which app. Reboot described did not work. Any idea? I thought it is disk capacity problem – disk1 was on 97% deleted some apps to have disk1 on 94% but it still did not work. Thanks for sugestions. I am running 1.1.1.
I’m at 1.1.2 and it’s all working fine. But also my disk is far from full.
thanks Paul.. It seems I have to reinstall firmware:(
