The DLT tapes we use here at SILS cost $100, and they hold 20-40 gigs
each; average is about 35 gigs/tape with our data.  Text compresses well;
GIFs do not...Anyway, that's only $2.50-$5 per gig. 

So, you could back it all up for about $10 million or so (not including
hardware), but you'd have only one copy, tape only has a 5-7 year shelf
life, and you'd want to take a snapshot at least every few months, I'd 
think.
