Metropolitan Center for Women and Children

Sexual Assault Response and Assistance (SARA) Center

Crisis Line: 1 (888) 411-1333

The Greater New Orleans Women’s and Children’s Center

About:

The Metropolitan Center for Women and Children (MCWC) operates two programs: Metropolitan Battered Women's Program and SARA Center (Sexual Assault Recovery Assistance). However, the YWCA Rape Crisis Program's old crisis line (504-483-8888) still "exists" because it automatically forwards to our crisis line (504-837-5400). We intend to continue this arrangement for quite some time so that former clients will continue to be able to find us.

If you are reporting a rape you should ask the local crisis center for a referral to a victim's advocate who will walk you through the process. For information on Reporting a rape click here.
