Database
of Women's Services and Organizations in Post-Katrina New Orleans
Currently in the data collection stage, this project will soon offer
information regarding the status of local organizations that provide
services specifically to women. Though services for women were scarce
prior to Katrina, they have obviously been impacted by the storm and
in many cases have diminished. It is the goal of this project to understand
the effects that the hurricane has had on women’s organizations,
as well as to consolidate information about the services that are
currently available.
