How about when you are trying to pass on a 2-lane highway? On US 95
near Searchlight, Nev. they were quite useful for determining whether
that car 1/2 mile ahead was coming towards you or just passing cars
farther ahead. This road was quite busy, and even in the bright desert
daylight it was easier to tell if the car was coming towards us when
they had their headlights on.
