# Sorry, but I think you need to step up your research regarding when and
# how cops are dismissed from their departments.
I doubt it, I personally know a number of police officers from a number
of different police departments, including my brother and an uncle ...
# In my department, I was
# informed of a cop who recently lost his job for having 2 accidents
# (non-fatal) within a relatively short period of time. I am also told
# that a cop will lose his/her job for running red lights and stop signs
# unless BOTH flashing lights AND siren are on.
And a number of people complain ... Yes, police officers will be
displined and fired - but only if the make a public spectacle of
doing something clueless - like getting into accidents.
Why are a couple police officers in the Metro area who had their firearms
discharge when they "stumbled" - killing black youths - still on the
force. Why was a Quebec police officer who "accidently" fired 30 rounds
from his submachine gun through a hotel door killing two construction
workers inside never charged with murder?
Rob.
