RCMP = Royal Canadian Mounted Police, fromerly the Northwest Mounted Police
(in the Klondike days).
Should I call all American cops "feds" or "narcs"?

That's the way that gets results. Unfortunately, at least in southern
Ontario, speeding regularly on long trips when there isn't much traffic is
asking for a ticket (photo radar or otherwise).

Hmm, I've held ~150 MPH on relatively short trips (~60 miles... but, at that
speed, what isn't a short trip?) in the wee hours of the morning but, as I
said, doing that a few times is a sure way to get a cop's attention! No
longer, and I don't miss it all that much.
