Yeah, it's true. I wonder why so many cyclists do stupid things such as
to ignore traffic signs when they know they don't stand a chance against
a car... Do they only want to make a big lawsuit or something ?
Don't get me wrong, I try to co-exist as much as possible with cyclists,
but many seem to do everything to get hit or simply do everything to
annoy car drivers. For instance, in some streets here, we have a cyclist
path just between the road and the sidewalk. But many cyclist still
ride on the road itself instead of the cycle path. The road is narrower
than it was because they built a cycle path, so it's more dangerous for
cyclists, but they still use the road instead of the safer cycle path.
Another example, a bike ignoring a stop sign while riding at 35 mph+.
The car driver does it's stop and slowly starts (after looking on all
sides). The cyclist almost hit the car... And you want to blame the
car driver ? Get real ! If cyclist are to share the same roads as cars,
they should obey the same rules. BTW, I've seen plenty ov cyclist in
infraction of the law, but never saw a police arrest them. Perhaps they
should ?

So, you're the holder of the holy truth ?
