Okay, at the risk of inciting multiple flames, I will ask this question:
When I am driving in the left lane on a two lane freeway, typically at
65-70mph, and someone comes up on my tail wanting to pass, why is it I
who is obligated to change lanes? Lane changes are a frequent cause of
accidents, and thus I have to take that risk because someone else wants
to go 75 or 80. So you say, then just stay in the right lane. Well,
that also is dangerous, because then I have to still change lanes
frequently to pass slower drivers and to make room for mergers. So,
when I am driving a respectable speed and I am in the left lane, GO
AROUND ME IF YOU WANT TO PASS, and endanger your own life, not mine.
