Participlants learn to how to select suitable plants for food, forage, medicinal purposes and pest management. Identify and use properties of plant guild associations, identify, create and use microclimates, and more. Example

Designing  Children's Playground--
how to create a setting for cognitive, physical & emotional development, based on permaculture principles. Focus on use of green and recycled materials, natural elements and processes for creating diverse and educational settings for experiences that are so important.

Water Harvesting & Erosion Control--
become self-reliant by learning multiple techniques for water retention, infiltration, catchment etc. Multiple techiniques, hands-on experiences in a high desert land, a slide show and a lot of engaging information related to appropriate techniques in the desert gardening and land management. 

Introduction to Permaculture--
learn basic principles and strategies to begin the journey toward sustainable living.
