It is very correctly stated that santhai method is very important. Of late, it has been found that many people who have abiding interest to do sevakalam, take books and start chanting even without formal santhai. It is a quite welcome sign that many people get interested in doing kainkaryams in the temple. But at the same time, there is a problem with regard to actual breaking of pasurams and many of them do break the stanzas very badly leading to an utter confusion. Such people may consider undergoing a formal santhai before using the book. This is my humbale suggestion.
