Sri: srimathe ramanujaya nama namo narayana dear bhaagavatas, first of all i'd just like to say that the translations of periyazhvar's thirumozhi on our kutti by sri madhavakkannan is simply heart warming :) and makes one break out in a smile :))
now i'd like to ask a question triggered by this particular stanza:
seeronRuthoodhaayth thuriyOdhananpakkal ooronRuvENdip peRaadha_urOdaththaal paaronRip paaradhamkaiseydhu paarththaRkuth thEronRaiyoorndhaaRku_Or_kOlkoNduvaa dhEvapiraanukku_Or_kOlkoNduvaa. 5. On the earth, The Lord- who has the most auspicious (kalyANa GuNas)attributes- went so gracefully as dhUthan- a messenger for Pancha paaNdavas, and asked for even a small village saying "even that alone is enough" and gave a chance for dhuryOdhanan to survive. Angered by the refusal by dhuryOdhanan, He arranged for the battle and drove the peerless chariot of Arjunan. Bring a stick for this chariot driver. Stick for this Devapiraan.
i was under the impression that our kanna wanted the bharatha por tohappen to reduce the burden of bhumadevi. so why was he angered by the refusal by dhuryodhanan? after all it was going 'according to plan' right? if dhuryodhanan had agreed to give just give 5 villages, could the bharatha por been averted?
thank you all in advance :) lottsa krishna premai kalaivani jai sri krishna andal thiruvadigale saranam _________________________________________________________________MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
