SrI:

Daer Raamachandra BhakthAs :

We will continue with the anupallavi and
charaNa vAkyams in this posting .

Anupallavi:

Raamaa unn naamam tani OdhiyE
oru nimisham karai kadnathaan Sri Maruthi

Here the entire Sundara KaaNDam episodes
play before one' mind . AnjanEyar ( Maaruthi)
kept on reciting the Raama Taaraka Naamam
and with its power propelled Himself and
crossed the mighty long ocean in a minute
and landed on the soil of LankhA as
the messenger from His Master .
This Raama DhUtan is saluted as :

" VatthAtmajam Vaanara-yUthamukhyam
  SrIrAmadhUtam Sirasaa namaami "

(Meaning) : adiyEn salutes with bent head
AnjanEyar , the ambassador of SrirAman
and the son of wind God , who is also the
chief among the assembly of powerful
Vaanara chieftains .

AnjanEyar's sportful leaping over
the long ocean and quenching the fire
of sorrow of Jaanaki MaathA at AsOka
Vanam is remembered this way :

ullangya sindhO: salilam saleelam
ya: Sokavahnim JanakAthmajAyA:
AadhAya tEnaiva dadhAha LankAm
namaami tam PrAnjalirAnjanEyam

To the heroic Raama Bhaktar , AnjanEya,
the ocean was like the dimension of a dimension
odf a cow's hoof and the RaakshasAs of
LankA were like mosquitos to squash and
He shines with Raama Naama sankeertanam
as the grand necklace of Srimad RaamAyaNam:

gOshpadhee-kruta-vaarASim
maSakee-kruta-rAkshasam
RaamAyaNa mahAmAlAratnam
vandhE anilAtmajam

CharaNa Vaakyams

KoSala kumAri Kousalyai kumaran
MaasaRu ponnAy valampuri mutthAi
tEsuRu vAnavar ThiruviNNagaril
Vaasamalar maalai soodi maNantAn Seethayai

The first line of CharaNam is a salutation to
KousalyA DEvi , the daughter of the king
of Kousala dEsam . Her sacred son was
Lord Raamachandran ( KousalyA's Suprajai) .

The second line of CharaNam celebrates
the matchless anga soundaryam of KousalyA
SuprajA Raaman by comparing Him to
the blemishless taptha Kaanchanam
MaasaRu PonnAi) and the most enchanting
pearl from the deep with right symmetry
(Valampuri mutthAi) .

The third line salutes Oppiliappan Sannidhi
as AakAsa nagaram , where the luminous
dEvAs jostle with each other, Lord
ThiruviNNagarappan .

Here at ThiruviNNagaram , Bhumi Devi
is the presiding Goddess and Sethai is
the amsam of BhUmi Devi. The fourth
charaNam salutes the Lord's ( RaamA's)
auspicious wedding with SeethA PirAtti .

In this Kosala MeLa Raaga krithi ,
the Saahitya KarthA , Srimathy
Padma Veeraraghavan celebrates
the Raama Taaraka Naamam ,which
is the power for AnjanEyar ,
the divine beauty of the son of
Kousalyai and the ThirukkalyANam
of SeethA PirAtti with Lord
Raamachnadran .
