In the strict sense mOksham refers to a state - a state of release from bondage - from the  bondage of cycle of births. It could be either kaivalya (the state where the atman enjoys itself) or paramapadam (where the atma is at eternal service to Sriya;pathi SrimannArayana for His happiness). Vaikuntam is another term for the latter.

Dear All,
I want to know the difference ( If exists) between the above two

While most the Sanskrit literature talk about Moksham , Pasurams talk
about Vaiguntham

Can anyone throw some light ?

Thanks
Chitra
