Sri:

mOksham referring to a state (a state of release from bondage - from the bondage of cycle of births) is a correct definition. Stricly speaking in Sri Sampradhayam "kaivalyam (which is state in which one enjoys one's own athma" is NOT considered as mOksham since it deviates from the very definition of seshathvam (servitude).

Also, Vaikuntam is not another term for the latter. Vaikuntam is a physical place, a wonderful place filled with ONLY sudha sathva guna, which is the eternal abode of parathva Sriman Narayanan and is the place one reaches after attaining mOksham and performing service to Emberuman eternally. One who attains the state mOksham and reaches the place Vaikuntam never returns to this material world.

Kindly accept adiyen's mistakes.

Dasan,

Dear All,
I want to know the difference ( If exists) between the above two

While most the Sanskrit literature talk about Moksham , Pasurams talk
about Vaiguntham

Can anyone throw some light ?

Thanks
Chitra
