Subject: Re: Srimathe Ramanujaya Namah Om Namo Bhagavate SrI Vasudevaya! We can not labor this topic unless we have a depth of knowledge in agamma sastras. I know there are many scholars in this group who can answer related to agamma rules. Constructing multiple sannidhi in a same temple is not a new trend. ThiruKarambanur is one of the divya desam near sri Rangam. This place is known as Uttamar koil since the name of Perumal here is known as Purushottaman, It is also known as Bikshandar koil, as kailasapathi is seen here as Bikshatana murthi in digambara form begging for alms with his biksha pathram. This kshetram is one of the few with a shrine for Brahma, this is also known as Adi Mahapuram (Adi referring to Adi purusha, Brahma). Finally, this place is also known as Tirumurthi kshetram, as there are shrines for Siva, Brahma and Perumal. Sanakar, Sanandanar and Sanatkumarar, as well as Kadamba Muni are believed to have worshipped the Trinity here. Brahmanda Puranam has reference to ThiruKarambanur sthalam. I solicit scholars input on this divya desam and agamma sastram. dasan, Sriman Narayanan --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
