Sri Krishnaya Namah!

Extracts from Narada Bhakthi Darshana:

Narada Sutra - 4 : "Yallabhya Puman Siddhobhavathi; Amruthobhavathi;
Thrupthobhavathi"
"Possessing which a Jeeva becomes a Siddha, Amruthamaya and immensely
satisfied, that is bhakthi."

Bhaktha should conquer ego, then his sadhana is called as bhakthi. He will
not crave for nectar which makes his body immortal(deathless). He want to
do kainkaryam/seva to God not only with a human body but by adorning
various bodies through various lives - e.g., as a peacock, deer, squirrel
etc., Thus he want to come down to earth again and again and in various
forms for doing kainkaryam to God. Thus, instead of having a liking
towards nectar he becomes a nectar (Amruthobhavathi) himself. It is like
sugar, if mixed with clean or dirty water, leaves its imprint(sweetness in
the sugar) in the same way, a bhaktha is the one who, wherever he goes he
spreads bhakthi (which, as mentioned in the earlier mails, is amrutha
swaroopacha).

Thrupthobhavathi - "Advaitham sukhadhukhyoranugunam; sarvasvavasthasuyath"
Bhaktha when he awake, in sleep, in dreams, while taking food, drinking,
walking, sitting, talking, always all the time, he is the same. i.e., He
talks with the Lord, walks alongwith Him; always do have Him by his side,
enjoying His company.

Narada Sutra - 5: "Yathprarya nakinchidhwanchathi, nashoshathi nadhveshti;
naramathe, nothsahi bhavathi"
"Possessing which a jeeva will not wish for more, will not be in sorrow,
will not hate anyone/anything, will not get enthused at anything and will
not be interested in any activity is Bhakthi". I.e., bhaktha is paripoorna
and total.

To illustrate the above, once in Ayodhya, there was a satsang and a
paricharak was doing seva to the sanths on the dias. Upon seeing the huge
gathering of sadhus and the spectators, at once, he got so taken by the
feeling that he is a blessed one for being in the company of the august
gathering and doing seva to sadhus, which is a bhagyam and thus faints and
collapses. Seeing this, sadhus woke him up and send him aside saying, 'you
are not fit for doing seva to us'.

In the same way, once the sarathi (charioteer) of Lord Krishna ratha, while
doing seva to the Lord thinks loftily about his bhagyam but immediately
realises that he is just supposed to do seva and he should not get carried
away by the bhagyam or not supposed to enjoy and being himself while doing
the kainkaryam. Because if he is immersed in himSELF, then Paramathma and
kainkaryam for him, gets ignored and seva will not be total.

Thus, Bhaktha having bhakthi towards Lord, just single mindedly do
kainkaryam and not aspire for fruit of his action.

Once, Sri Ekanath Maharaj (a staunch devotee of the Lord) came ashore after
having a bath in Thungabhadra river (a sacred river in Karnataka). One
cruel minded person, on seeing the sadhu, pukes at the santh to annoy him.
Sri Ekanath, without uttering a word at the indecent behaviour of the
person, goes to the river and gets bathed himself and comes back, only to
be puked at, once again by the person, who now want to test his patience.
Once again, the sant, without uttering a word went for a bath in the
river. This continues for 108 times and atlast the person falls on the
santh's feet in guilty. But, the santh says delightfully - " You have
given me a divine opportunity to bathe myself in the sacred waters of
Thungabhadra, not once but 108 times, today. And this is bhagavdkrupa and
nothing else". Thus a bhaktha, always, whatever he does, is the same, as
he is accompanied by Him. Even when bitten by a mosquito, in the middle of
the night, a bhaktha feels happy, for, the mosquitoes wake him up and
engages him in doing bhajan for the Lord.

Sarvada sarvabhavena nishehinthithaihi bhagavanena bhanoyaha
eka bhakthirvishishyathe

The sadhaka, with unwavering mind always should, in all bhavas, i.e., daya,
kantha, vathsalya, madhurya pray Krishna.

Bhagavatha nan sankirthya kalau keshavam

In kaliyuga, only Sri Krishna sankirthana is upaya.

Sri Kulashekara Maharaj, in his Mukundamala says-
idam shareeram parinamam peshalam
pathathyarshyam shlathasandhi jarjaram
kimoushadhaihi klishyasimuda dhurmathe
niramayam krishna rasayana pibha

Oh! dhurmathe(cruel minded), this body slowly gets weak and then collapse
with age. This process can't be cured by any kind of medicine but only by
drinking Sri Krishna rasayana.

Sri Krishna Rasayana can be chrned out of various methods, as propounded by
Uddhava in SMB (10/4/24) who says --
Danavratha thapohoma japeswadhyaya samhamaihi
Shreyo bhirvividaishcha naihi Krishne bhakthirhi sudhyathe

Krishna Bhakthi develops by dana, vratha, thapas, homam, japam and veda
adhyayana. The ultimate goal is to raise Krishna Bhakthi in the mind
through these upayas.

Sukumar
