Dear friend,
I write this to you in a spirit of friendship and brotherliness and
so please do not get unduly offended.
You pose these questions perhaps out of sincerity and a genuine sense
of inquiry. But you should be careful in future as to the language in
which questions are framed. Reading your post one may get the
mistaken impression that your attitude to womanhood is cavalier. I'm
sure you mean no disrespect to womanhood but my advice to you is to
be very circumspect in these matters.
As to your question itself, you should first learn that at the core
of Hinduism is a philosophy called 'Vedanta' and at the very root of
this Vedanta is the belief in Soul ('AtmA'). The Atma knows no
gender. There is no such thing as feminine soul and masculine soul.
It is only the body that gets differentiated by gender.
When an Atma attains liberation from the cycle of birth-death-
rebirth, it is said to attain 'mOksha'. You asked about 'svarga'.
Now 'svarga' and 'mOksha' in Hinduism do not mean the same
thing. 'Heaven' or 'Paradise' as it is generally known in
Christianity or Islam is virtually alien to Hinduism or Vedanta. The
conception of 'Heaven' in Vedanta is very profound and it has nothing
to do with the sort of "dancing around" that you speak of in your
post.
My suggestion to you is that before you go inquiring into any
subject, it is better to first get acquainted with its fundamentals,
concepts and principles. You have to get familiar with its idiom and
language. Only then can you understand its substance. Thereafter you
are free to pursue the subject through rigorous inquiry and
challenging questions.
Why don't you first start with taking up a good book on Hinduism and
study it threadbare. For starters, why don't you go the archives of
SriRangaSri and begin reading Sri Anbil Ramaswamy's "Hinduism Re-
discovered"?
Regards,
dAsan,
Sudarshan
