Person Hall is the second oldest state university building in
the U.S. The building was named after one of the University's
first trustees, Revolutionary War Brigadier-General Thomas Person.
Until 1837, Person Hall was the University Chapel, and later it
was the Department of Chemistry. Today, it is the home for the
Department of music.
