  The film is being made on a shoestring budget of about $350, some of which went to purchase
costumes at thrift shops and $50...air guns Wal-Mart.
  "We use very-close replicas of guns in public, which police don't smile upon," he said. "We make sure it's clear to police what we're doing."
  They also post signs, "Film in Progress," so as not to alarm the public or incite them to heroics, Freeman said.
  The entire 35-minute film is being shot locally, with a car chase on Carrboro's back streets and other scenes on Franklin Street and in a Chapel Hill apartment, as well as Freeman's home on North Greensboro Street in Carrboro.
  When filming a fight scene under a street light one night in Carrboro, people having a party came out and applauded, Freeman said.
  It's his first action film.
  "It's cool to have action,
because it is entertaining," he said. "Those are my favorite type of movies. An action film is 10 times more complicated than an artsy flim. You have to worry about realism," he said.
  He like the challenge of pulling off a fast-paced film.
  He decided not to major in filmmaking but opted for a business major instead, because he said he figured he could learn to make movies by doing it.
  Freeman says he soaks up information from everywhere he can, including local filmmakers, as well as his idol: Robert Rodriguez.
Rodriguez got Hollywood's attention by making his first film for only $6,500.
