Information About this Project
This project, in its entirely, was created by John Nicholson.
Using only donated supplies and borrowed equipment, this project was done
with no budget and would not have been possible without the help
of the good people of the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill.
All footage was recorded using analog format, but
was converted to mini digital video for non-linear editing. John wrote,
directed and produced the video documentary at the age of 23 after graduating
from the School of Journalism and
Mass Communication at UNC in 1999.
This was his first attempt at a project involving so many mediums, especially
video.
A native of Washington, NC, John was raised a
Tar Heel, but attended Appalachian
State University before transfering
to UNC-CH. John aspires to make educational documentaries when he
grows up, although he is open to any and all of the possibilities this
life may bring. If you would like to contact John, please click here.
