Comment on Margaret Sims' re ἵνα and ὅτι

Post by cwconrad »

Erstwhile B-Greeker Dirk Jongkind has a dscussion today on the TC blog (Evangelical Textual Criticism) on Margaret Sim's book, about which, when it was still in dissertation form and titled differently there was some dscussion on our old B-Greek list. This blog entry is entitled,
Greek Particles, Linguistics, and TC
. The book in question is Margaret G. Sim, Marking Thought and Talk in New Testament Greek: New Light from Linguistics on the Particles INA and OTI (Eugene, Oregon: Pickwick, 2010).

ἀλλὰ χρόνῳ ζητέοντες ἐφευρίσκουσιν ἄμεινον. (Xenophanes, Fragment 16)

Dirk pointed out in a comment to his blogpost that an electronic copy of the dissertation is available here: http://www.era.lib.ed.ac.uk/handle/1842/1395
