[B-Greek] Another way to search archives Was: Searching Archives

There is a good alternative for those of us who don't have Googlebar (or
those that do.) Using TweakUI, you can setup Internet Explorer to search
B-Greek right from the address bar. This works for XP and possibly others
but I only tested it on XP Pro. This is part of the Power Toys downloads,
and there is a separate one for each type of Windows. You can find the
versions for each OS by searching Microsoft's website.
Here is the one for XP:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp
Download and install Powertoys to get TweakUI. Having done this, under
TweakUI's "Internet Explorer" subcategory under "Search" you can associate
"strings" with search protocols. For this purpose, you would associate
"bgreek" with
"http://lists.ibiblio.org/htdig/cgi-bin/htsearch?method=and&format=builtin-l
ong&sort=score&config=htdig&restrict=/pipermail/b-greek&words=%s" (no quotes
obviously.)
Having done this, you should be able to just type "bgreek blah" into your
Internet Explorer address bar and hit enter and IE will open a search for
every occurrence of "blah" in the B-Greek archives.

I don't use Mac but I would be interested in knowing how to setup the
google deskbar (http://toolbar.google.com/deskbar/index.html) to query
the archives (Beyond a Site: search).
Basically I need to know how that search engine does it
e.g. http://bgreeksearcher.com/searchterm={1} Where {1} is the term I'm
searching for.
Unfortunately I can't figure that out by looking at the search dialog.
