You are indeed correct, Carl, that the TR reads hHXHi here. But there is
some doubt in my mind whether the majority of mss read hHXEI or hHXHi. On
the one hand, the apparatus of NA26/27 clearly places the gothic "M" next
to the reading hHXEI indicating that the majority of mss support the
reading hHXEI. On the other hand, UBS4 places Byzpt next to both hHXEI
and hHXHi. The Hodges/Farstad Majority Text (1st edition) has hHXHi in
the text while placing Mptvid next to both hHXEI and hHXHi in the
apparatus. So the Majority Text appears to be split. Perhaps a very slim
majority supports one reading or the other. Who knows?
