USS Connecticut (Battleship # 18)
View on the ship's fore deck, looking aft, possibly taken in
San Francisco Bay, California, on 8 May 1908. Connecticut
was flagship during the "Great White Fleet" World cruise
of 1907-1909.
Note the large illuminated letters installed on the ship's bridge
face, spelling out her name for exhibition purposes. "Great
White Fleet" ships were so-fitted during their visit to
San Francisco.
