In November 1950, Korea's weather became increasingly frosty, an indication of a very cold winter to come. By mid-month, snowstorms were visiting the ships offshore, curtailing flight operations and creating snow-removal problems on the aircraft carriers' broad flight decks.
This page features views of snow and ice on aircraft carriers during the September-November 1950 United Nations' offensive in Korea.
