S.S. Acme
(American Tanker, 1916)

Under tow, en route to Norfolk, Virginia, in March 1942.
Acme was torpedoed by the German submarine U-124 off the coast of North Carolina in the afternoon of 17 March 1942. She was subsequently repaired and returned to service.
This ship served as USS Abarenda (IX-131) in 1944-1946.
