Lieutenant Commander John J. McGowan, ship's Chaplain, leads a Protestant group in hymns, as Helena operates in Korean waters, 16 October 1950.
Though he is a Catholic Chaplain, McGowan's duties include conducting interdenominational services as well as celebrating the Mass.
