USS Northern Pacific (1917-1919)
Workmen passing up heated rivets to riveters for use in attaching
bottom plating, while the ship was undergoing repairs in drydock
at the New York Navy Yard, circa February-May 1919.
Northern Pacific had been damaged in an accidental grounding
off Fire Island, N.Y., on 1 January 1919.
Note the rivet heating braziers in the center and right center.
