Photographed circa mid-1919, while serving as base for the North Sea minesweeping detachment.
Identifiable ships include:
Tanker Hickerol (smaller ship in the center of the view); USS Black Hawk (ID # 2140), most distant ship in right center; and USS Panther, immediately to right of Black Hawk.
Among other ships present are several trawlers, two U.S. Navy submarine chasers (at extreme left) and a British "P-Boat" patrol vessel (nearest shore in right center).
