USS Milwaukee
(Cruiser # 21)

Split in the the wrecked cruiser's hull and superstructure, just aft of amidships. Taken on 29 April 1919, more than two years after Milwaukee went aground at Samoa Beach, near Eureka, California, on 13 January 1917.
Note separation of armor plates, rivet holes in structural plating, and port for a 3"/50 gun.
