Line engraving published in "Harper's Weekly", 13 May 1865, depicting the scene on board USS Montauk, off the Washington Navy Yard, D.C., on 27 April 1865, as Union officers examined the body of John Wilkes Booth. Booth had assassinated President Abraham Lincoln of 14 April 1865.
