HMAS Australia (Australian Heavy Cruiser, 1928)
View of the ship's starboard midships area, 1932.
Note the platform holding two 2-pounder anti-aircraft guns, with
a life raft stowed below and an "old-fashioned" anchor
mounted on the platform stanchions, with folding anchor davit
just above; men painting smokestacks; wire bracing for smokestacks;
and the Rear Admiral's flag on the launch just aft of the gun
platform.
