Iwo Jima Operation, 1945


Several Landing Craft Infantry (Gunboat) [LCI(G)] moving in to support Underwater Demolition Teams off Iwo Jima, 17 February 1945.
Most of these LCI(G)s were badly shot up by Japanese defenses.
