Men of the 6th Regiment, U. S. Marine Corps, look shoreward having just arrived at Shanghai, China, on 19 September 1937.
They had been sent to reinforce the 4th Marine Regiment in guarding the U. S. sector of the International Settlement during the Sino-Japanese war.
