Mrs. Yarnell is at left. At right, holding another cane, is Lieutenant John Sylvester, USN, the Admiral's Flag Lieutenant. Behind Mrs. Yarnell, with only his shoulder board visible, is Captain Riley F. McConnell, USN, the Admiral's Chief of Staff.
