Photo #: NH 93364 Naval Gun Factory, Washington Navy Yard, D.C. Finishing two bronze plaques commemorating the surrender of Japan, circa late September 1945. They were made in the Gun Factory's Pattern Shop, which had also made hundreds of the seals that adorn Washington's public buildings.
