Dreadnaught (American Tug, 1917)
Underway, probably prior to her World War I era Naval service.
This steam tug, owned by the Rolph Navigation and Coal Company
of San Francisco, California, was purchased by the Navy in 1917
and placed in commission on 31 January 1918 as USS Dreadnaught
(ID # 1951). Designated YT-34 in 1920 and YNG-21 in 1940, she
remained in service until 1944.
