Sultana
(American Steam Yacht, 1889)

At anchor, prior to her World War I Navy service.
Photographed by Edwin Levick, New York.
Note the large "YALE" flag and pennant flying from her mast peaks.
Sultana was delivered to the Navy on 4 May 1917 and commissioned on 27 May 1917 as USS Sultana (SP-134). She was returned to her owner on 17 February 1919.

The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
