USS George K. MacKenzie (DD-836)
"Clad only in light summer garments, Korean youngsters eagerly
surround Lt. James S. Lampe, USN, ..., as he places a Navy P-Coat
on a cold little Miss. In the background, a ROK Marine also assists
a little girl in putting on a coat. However large in size, the
amounts of clothing donated by the destroyer USS George K.
MacKenzie through the efforts of Lt. Lampe were sufficient
in helping to keep the children warm against the cold winds and
freezing temperatures of the Korean winter."
