Grumman F9F-2 "Panther" Jet Fighter

"Panther on Prowl -- Like a lone panther stalking its prey, a Navy Panther jet from New York's fighter squadron aboard the aircraft carrier USS Antietam in Korean waters, skims over the clouds en route to a Communist target. The plane is a part of fighter squadron VF-837, a veteran of four months combat in Korea, and originally from the Naval Air Station, Floyd Bennett Field, N.Y."
Photograph and caption were released by Commander Naval Forces, Far East, under date of 5 March 1952.
