USS Galveston (CLG-3)
"A 'Talos' missile roars off the fantail of the Guided Missile
Cruiser USS Galveston (CLG-3) in the Caribbean Sea. The
deadly 'Talos', which has been in the testing stages for the
past three years, was again proven operational last month when
the Galveston, the ship that first fired the missile in
1958, made history again by completing the longest range 'Talos'
firing at sea." (Quoted from the original photo caption,
released by the ship's Public Information Office on 17 March
1961.)
