Men handling mooring lines during the first 14-day post-World
War II cruise by Naval Reservists from the First, Third and Fourth
Naval Districts and the Potomac River Naval Command. The cruise
began at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 6 October. Liberty stops
were made at New York City and Bermuda before the Reservists
disembarked at Boston, Massachusetts, at the completion of the
two-week voyage.
